About
Celeste Lyn Paul is Senior Interaction Architect at User-Centered Design, Inc. and a member of the KDE Human-Computer Interaction working group. She is an open source design advocate who works towards making FLOSS more “user friendly” by working with developers to create better software.
She specializes in interface design, interaction design, and information architecture. She has experience in all phases of the system development life cycle, with a knack for helping the development and user research teams work together. Her industry experience includes work at the Federal government level, public and private sectors, and in open source software.
Her recent research efforts include the Modified-Delphi card sorting methodology, visualization of public health information, and the usability of electronic voting.
She holds a Master’s degree in Interaction Design and Information Architecture from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia from Duquesne University. She is also a member of the American Society for Information Science & Technology, Association for Computing Machinery, Information Architecture Institute, K Desktop Environment e.V., OpenUsability e.V., and Usability Professionals Association.
