I’d like to give Donna Mauer a +1, Insightful for her keynote at OzCHI: User-centred design: Is it working?. She discusses how today’s industry is seriously lacking in practitioners who have formal training and knowledge of previous and current research, which makes clients unhappy with their results and in the end hurts all of us.

There has been a lot of positive buzz about her presentation, but I wonder how well something like that would have went over during a UPA conference?
