Porn Causes Blindness?
So it turns out that porn can make you blind, well temporarily so they say.
The article goes on to explain how gorey and erotic images require so much processing that attention lapses caused subjects to miss what image comes next. The researchers conclude these types of images must induce some kind of primay survival response.
I can see the conservatives eating this up. What about the possibility this is more psychological than physical? Maybe our society finds death and sex so disturbing that we have become so sensitive to it, and its distracting? It would be interesting to see this experiment conducte on other cultures, such as the Europeans or Japanese.
