Spammers and the New Frontier

So today (so far today..) I get six spams on my weblog from someone who calls themself “online poker” using an email “lilo@suddenenlightenment.us”. They wernt even “spammish” messages, but the URLs pointed to online poker sites. Yeah.. well here are the IP addresses the spammed messages came from so you can block them on your blogs:

  • 194.78.40.9
  • 80.247.201.9
  • 66.99.244.162
  • 211.133.243.188
  • 219.15.14.86
  • 80.78.164.114

    Also:

    deny from 217.132
    deny from 61.197.242.34
    deny from 212.235
    deny from 38.113.198.9

I deny subnets if I get multiple IPs from the same subnets multiple times. I ban nets when they occur too often. I’ve only had to take it that far, and so far I haven’t banned a country.
